Round and round the Radical Road the Radical Rascal ran, how many rs are this, tell me if you can?

A rhyme my dad told me a long time ago and refers to the Radical Road, a path on the Salisbury Crags of Arthurs Seat, in Edinburgh.

There is not much on the web about the Road but it is mentioned in the book Songlines:The Road to Bonnymuir compiled, arranged and edited by Alan Dickson.
